WHO IS CARLO DUPONE?
I was raised in West Los Angeles, where I learned early on the value of hard work from my father, who built a small dry-cleaning business from scratch. As a kid, I swept floors, mopped, and watched him negotiate real estate deals at the counter. Those moments became my first lessons in perseverance, grit, and strategy.
My journey took me from studying economics at UCLA to a career as a stockbroker and Certified Financial Planner, where I gained firsthand experience in financial markets and wealth management. That foundation led me into real estate investing and entrepreneurship, where I found my true calling — building opportunities, creating value, and leading ventures that bridge global markets.
Today, I serve as CEO and President of multiple companies in real estate investment and asset management, operating across the U.S., Mexico, and the Middle East. My guiding principles remain the same as the ones I learned in my father’s shop: preparation, organization, and keeping an open mind.
As a Supervisor with the Red Cross Disaster Action Team, I spend my spare time helping people and families recover from natural disasters. Whether they’ve lost their homes, food, or sense of safety, I work to provide shelter, medical assistance, and comfort during their most difficult moments.
For me, business has never just been about numbers. It’s about vision, discipline, and turning possibilities into reality.
I’m Carlo Dupone
A cross-border real estate investor, developer, and fund manager with over 20 years of experience building wealth through property, finance, and strategic partnerships. From my roots in West Los Angeles, where I helped my father manage small apartment buildings and strip malls, to co-founding Strategic Equities, a mortgage firm that has funded over $14 billion in loans.
My journey has been defined by grit, preparation, and a relentless pursuit of opportunity. Today, I serve as CEO of Astamar Realty, Founder of Astamar Asset Management LLC, and Principal of the Latitude Equity Fund Series, a private investment fund focused on global short-term and long-term rental markets. Over the past decade, I’ve guided investors through complex cross-border transactions, raising capital, structuring international holdings, and securing debt financing exceeding $90 million.
Beyond my ventures, I hold degrees in Economics and Finance from UCLA Anderson and bring a background as a stockbroker and Certified Financial Planner, giving me a unique edge at the intersection of finance and real estate. While business is my passion, family remains my foundation. As a dual citizen of the U.S. and Mexico, I value time with my children, martial arts, golf, and balancing ambition with grounded living.
